New lodging location: Downtown Marriott Hotel
The 2026 Alaska Asthma & Allergy Conference will again be held at the Dena'ina Convention & Civic Center, located at 600 W. 7th Avenue, in the heart of downtown Anchorage, Alaska.
AAFA Alaska has negotiated a special room rate with the Anchorage Downtown Marriott Hotel, at 820 W. 7th Avenue, just two blocks away from the Dena'ina Center: $309 + tax. For reservations, call the hotel at (907) 279-8000 and request the allergy and asthma conference rate to receive the discount. The discounted room block is reserved through August 16.
The Dena'ina Center and Marriott Hotel are within easy walking distance of many restaurants, recreational activities, cultural attractions and transportation hubs. Downtown parking is available, including the EasyPark parking facility just two blocks from the center.
NOTE: Space is limited. Reserve early. Be sure to reserve a room at the hotel once you register for the conference to take advantage of the special rate. Once these rooms are gone, lodging costs will be higher with limited availability.
POLICY REMINDER: Discount Room Reservation Responsibility
During previous conference events, some participants that reserved rooms either canceled a night or checked out early, resulting in charges to AAFA Alaska to cover unexpectedly unoccupied rooms. Because of this, we updated our lodging policy in 2024.
AAFA Alaska contracts with Anchorage Downtown Marriott Hotel to provide a block of rooms at a special rate for attendees. If you book a special-rate room, you will be responsible for paying that reserved space, unless you cancel at least one week prior to the conference – i.e., not later than Sept. 11, 2026. If you are unable to commit to using a special rate room, please reserve outside the conference block of rooms for greater cancellation flexibility.
If you must cancel after Sept. 11 due to an emergency, please let us know. AAFA Alaska will try (but cannot guarantee) to find someone else to take your reserved room.
